Install the companion plugin

The plugin connects your WooCommerce store to your OneTill device. It's free, and it takes about two minutes.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New
  3. Search for OneTill
  4. Click Install Now, then Activate
  5. Go to OneTill → Settings in the sidebar
  6. Enter your Stripe secret key and click Save
Find your Stripe secret key in the Stripe Dashboard under Developers → API Keys. Use your live key (sk_live_) for real sales, or test key (sk_test_) to try things out first.
3

Order your device

OneTill runs on Stripe's S700 and S710 smart terminals. Pick the one that fits how you sell.

Stripe S700

$299 one-time
WiFi only — no monthly data fee
  • Same hardware, minus cellular
  • WiFi + Ethernet (via dock)
  • Best for fixed retail locations
  • Reliable internet required
Both devices include a 5.5" touchscreen, built-in card reader (tap, chip, swipe), camera for barcode scanning, and all-day battery. The S710's cellular means you never depend on venue WiFi.
4

Pair with a QR code

No API keys to copy. No URLs to type. Point the device at a QR code and you're connected.

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to OneTill → Dashboard
  2. Click "Pair New Device" — a QR code appears on screen
  3. On your S700/S710, launch the OneTill app
  4. Select "Scan QR Code" and point the device at your screen
  5. The device connects instantly and starts downloading your product catalog
The QR code is valid for 5 minutes. If it expires, click "Pair New Device" again to generate a fresh one. You can also pair manually by entering your store URL and WooCommerce API keys.

Make your first sale

Your catalog is on the device. You're ready to sell.

  1. Browse your products in the two-column grid, or tap the search icon to find something specific
  2. Tap a product to add it to the cart — or press the volume key to scan a barcode
  3. Tap the cart pill at the bottom to review the order
  4. Hit "Charge" for card, or "Cash" for cash
  5. Customer taps, inserts, or swipes their card — done
  6. Offer an email receipt, or skip — the order is already in WooCommerce
  • Stock updates in WooCommerce within seconds
  • Apply WooCommerce coupon codes right from the cart
  • Variable products (size, color) show a picker automatically
  • Custom sale amounts for items not in your catalog

Something not working?

Most issues are quick fixes. Check here before reaching out.

The device won't pair
  • Make sure your WordPress site uses HTTPS — pairing requires a secure connection
  • QR codes expire after 5 minutes. Click "Pair New Device" again to get a fresh one
  • Check that the OneTill plugin is activated in Plugins
  • Verify WooCommerce is active — the plugin needs it to function
  • If using manual pairing, double-check the consumer key and secret
Products aren't showing up
  • Products must be Published in WooCommerce — drafts are not synced
  • Only Simple and Variable product types are supported
  • Try a Full Resync from the navigation drawer on the device
  • Pull down on the catalog to trigger an immediate sync
Tax is showing as zero
  • Check that tax is enabled in WooCommerce → Settings → Tax
  • Verify you have tax rates configured for your store's location
  • If using WooCommerce Tax (Jetpack), make sure Jetpack is connected and the tax module is active
